A few weeks ago we attended a BIG fair called "Pick a Pooch" There were lots and lots of puppy booths and lots of puppies trying to find their forever homes. It was a two day event so we were there Saturday and Sunday all day. Miss M was with us but this time my two legged daddy came too.
We were up early on Saturday to set up and spent the day and then again on Sunday. We went a little later on Sunday so we got to sleep in and still go for our weekend walk. Mom said it helps me to get my "yaya's" out before I have to be on my best behavior.
There were soooo many cool things there. Miss M talked to lots of two legged people and I also talked to some four legged guests too. It was nice to have puppies to talk to. However, there was a special person there who could talk to puppies. We went
up on the stage twice to
demonstrate her unique abilities. She asked me questions then I answered her and then she told the crowd what I said. It was kind of cool!! Mom also brought a picture of a sister of mine that I never got to meet. Her name was Ruthie. She was Mom's therapy dog. Mom had a picture painted of her for my Dad after she went over the rainbow bridge. The person who painted it had a booth by us so it was on display. I tried to ask her if I could get my picture painted but she was really busy talking to guests who were stopping at her booth.
We finally got to go camping again in the house on wheels. This camping area was flooded in March so we had to reschedule our camping spot for later in the summer. There were still areas closed but we were able to walk around other areas of the park.
Avalon and I spent some alone time with Dad which was cool. We spend lots of time with Mom but Dad goes somewhere everyday except for the weekends to I think his work home. I have been there once or twice.
Dad cooked some really good smelling food on the outdoor cooker but like always it was not puppy food he was cooking. I sure wish we got special food like they do when out camping.
Mom went and watched Miss M at a command presentation at the County fair. I was kind of upset I didn't get to go and watch but Grandma T said puppies were not allowed. Something about us maybe misbehaving and spooking the Big guys. Mom brought lots of pictures back for me to see so next time I see Miss M I will congratulate her. Mom said she won a trophy and lots of ribbons. I wonder why when we do command presentations we don't get ribbons ? Will need to ask Miss M about that.
Went to the last summer concert at our local Mall. I thought it was just going to be a fun night of listening to music but Mom said it was a working night. We talked to guests and passed out some info to others. We sat next to one guest and I looked at his hat and shirt and he was a BIG Iowa football fan. I sure wish he understood puppy talk so I could tell him he was in Nebraska land and Husker football.
