Happy New Year - 2019

Merry Christmas !!  It was a wonderful time at our house during the Holidays !  Many more walks around the lake since Dad was home more and many four and two legged friends and family coming by.  Our Holiday season started just before Christmas when we all loaded up in the car to go to our local Humane Society and deliver Holiday dinners to some puppies and cats that don't have forever families.  They have dorms like the ones at KSDS Inc. but they just didn't seem as happy.  There were commanders there but it seemed like they just took walks and played with the puppies - No college command training like at KSDS.

Christmas day started with our Elf Sparky making another move in the house overnight.  He was there watching us to make sure we were behaving ourselves when Christmas guests arrived.  We had to stay in Mom's office because we sometimes have problems acting mature with company in the house.    I think this is probably more me but I have seen Avalon do her paw thing on company.  I did hear Mom say we had some elderly company coming and was afraid we might get under foot and someone would get tripped up.                     

Mom took some pictures of our Christmas tree before everyone arrived along with some pictures of us.   Avalon and I did our best to pose since Sparky was watching. It was really nice outside on Christmas Day so when some of my two legged cousins arrived they went outside for some pictures.  I was hoping we would get to go out on the deck for picture taking but that didn't happen.  Avalon told me to stop whining because Sparky could hear me and might report it to the big red guy.  Avalon wasn't going to jeopardize getting our Christmas presents.
After all of the guests arrived I heard them
playing their Christmas game.  I think it is called "White Elephant" but I never see one of those big guys.  Don't think one could even get in our house ??  They played the game for awhile then it was dinner time.  It was too early for our dinner so we just hung out and hoped some of the Christmas food would drift our way.  After they ate and cleaned up we had dinner but like always it was the usual.

After dinner everyone headed to the basement to open family gifts. However, there was a NEW four legged guest in the house.  My sister brought over a fluffy white thing but it wasn't a puppy - It was a Kitty !!  I can't believe a kitty was allowed in our house.  I know we use to have a kitty but she was grandfathered in - This was a new one.  I will need to talk to my sister about this and that she should have gotten a puppy so Avalon and I could have a true four legged cousin.
Avalon and I were still on our best behavior because Elf Sparky was still on the watch.  I know he will eventually go back to the North Pole and I can not wait.  I am so tired of Avalon preaching to me about behaving myself.  I guess when you are 7 years old that is easy but at 2 1/2 it isn't.

Sparky finally reported to the Big Red Guy and the next morning guess what was there for us ?  New chew toys, new stuffed Christmas toys and great Christmas treats.

Christmas came and went and we we still had not seem Miss M and Miss K for gift exchanges. Mom and me had found just the right gifts for them and had been waiting for them but they were so busy with Holiday activities.    However, just a few days ago they came over along with their parents and grandparents.   First they had  refreshments and were visiting.  I was so anxious and was kind of pacing.  Elf had left for the North Pole so I didn't have to worry about being on my best behavior.   Miss M and Miss K gave Avalon and me some great Christmas puppy treats.

They are two of my favorite people !!
